Description | As of January 18, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The estimated range of this project is between $2,000,000 and $2,500,000. The Project consists in developing a multiuse trail that will connect the existing sidewalk on Carriage Lane to existing greenway sections. The Greenway trail is completely on property either owned by ACCGov or on easements for trail construction. Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, and applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions apply to this project. Bidders must be a Prequalified Contractor with the Georgia Department of Transportation and meet any additional qualifications as noted in the contract documents. The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County will be the sole entity to determine if Bidder satisfactorily meets the qualifications. An original Bid Bond for 5% of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and Payment Bond in the amount of 110% of the contract price will be required if contract is awarded.
