Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for Woodman`s Community Center

Provide architectural and engineering services necessary to design an indoor athletic and conference center. The City is proposing to build the indoor athletic and conference center, Woodman’s Community Center, at the Uptown Janesville shopping mall. The center will be located at 2500 Milton Avenue, along the City’s commercial corridor and on property that will be donated to the City to include the former Sears department store site and portions of the adjoining parking area. Architectural and engineering services necessary to publicly bid the construction of an indoor athletic and conference center to include: demolition of the existing Sears building, exterior site work, building design and interior design of an indoor main ice rink 200 feet by 85 feet with up to 1,500 seats; a secondary rink of the same size with 250 seats, which is removable for the use of court/turf space during the offseason; and a 20,000 square-foot flexible dry space capable of deploying sportcourt, synthetic turf, or portable hardwood for a variety of uses. The center will also include a pro-shop, medical office, locker rooms, coach/referee rooms, administrative offices, party/meeting rooms, concession operations and sufficient storage.
