Construction of Cranberry Run Restoration

The work for which Bids are invited consists of the fumishing ol all materials and labor for the c o m b i n e d construction of the following two projects: The Cranberry Run North Phase One Restoration consists of the construction of approximately 300 LF oJ stream channel after filling an existing pond and the grading of floodplain benches and wetland cells along approximately 950 LF of stream adjacent to lhe restoration reach. These areas of stream channel are not to be disturbed durino construction. Excess material generated in these areas will be used t-o create a walking trail throughout the project site. The Cranberry Run South Restoration project consists of floodplain restoration and reconnection on three properties owned by Boardman Township in Mahoning County, Ohio. This restoration will consist of regrading the stream banks beyond the ordinary high-water mark to establish floodplain connection for the stream channel. Excavated material will be regraded as mounds on-site. All other excess material will be hauled off to a predetermined offsite location. All excavations will be stabilized and seeded following construction. The totaI estimated construction cost for the Cranberrv Run North Phase One Restoration project is $132,489.00. However, drie to the nature of funding for this project, it has been divided into separate bid schedules. One bid schedule for the area from Wildwood Drive to the southern side of Cadillac Drive with an estimated construction cost of $99,873.00, and another bid schedule for the area north of Cadillac Drive with an estimated construction cost of $32.616.00. The total estimated construction cost tor he Cranbsrry Run South Restoration project is $68.064.00, Bidders are required to register with and obtain Bidding Documents from the office of the Boardman Township Road DepartmenI. Each bidder is required to fumish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Conkact Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security fumished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surely. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons intEURrosted therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the proiect will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, seruices and labor in the implementation of the project.
