Description | This project involves the cleaning and televising of 8", 12", and 15" sanitary sewer mains in the city limits of Knoxville, Illinois. All questions concerning the Bidding Documents should be emailed to Mr. Neil Smith of Bruner, Cooper and Zuck, Inc. at nas@bczengineering.com. There will be no prebid conference for this project. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising prior to 48 hours before the opening of Bids. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the Owner, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company, in an amount not less than five percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price as a guarantee that the Bidder will within fifteen (15) days after the date of the award of a contract execute an Agreement and file bonds and insurance as required by the Bidding Documents if his Bid is accepted. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute and file an Agreement, bonds and insurance as required by the Bidding Documents, the amount of the security submitted with his Bid shall be forfeited. No Bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Bids without the consent of the Owner, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing Bids. The Contractor to whom an award shall be made pursuant to this procurement shall be subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Illinois acts commonly known as the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (IL Rev. Sta. Ch. 48, Secs. 2201-2207). A payment and performance bond are required in connection with this project. The payment bond shall specifically provide that the Principal must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, (IL Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sec. 39(s)- 1-12). The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or any of the Bidding Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to award a contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. |
