2022 Alley Patching with HMA Project

The City of Newton, Iowa, is seeking competitive quotations for HMA Alley Patching as noted below. Contractors qualified to perform the work and provide the required proof of insurance are invited to submit competitive quotations. This project includes 570 SY of 7" HMA full depth patch. Located in downtown Newton, the project also includes 168 SY of Milling with 30 Tons of 3" HMA overlay in a separate location. The City of Newton adopted the 2022 SUDAS specs, and all work in the ROW will be completed to these standards. The Contractor will provide a.SY unit price for Milling, and Tons unit price for HMA overlay, SY unit Price for HMA full Depth Patching limited to furnishing and placing patch material including the asphalt binder and tack coat;, sawing, removing, and disposing of existing pavement and reinforcing; restoring the subgrade; furnishing and installing tie bars and dowel bars; forming and constructing integral curb; surface curing and pavement protection; joint sawing and filling; and placing backfill and restoring disturbed surfaces will be furnished by the Public Works Street Department. Fully complete the project on or before Nov 30th, 2022.
