Description | A. Contractor shall furnish equipment, labor, and/or materials for repair, renovation or installation of electrical equipment on an on-call basis. Equipment consists of a variety of brands and models of electrical systems located in approximately 120 buildings throughout the City. B. The exact nature of the work, the amount of work, or the times when work will be required cannot be known in advance. C. Contractor shall provide the City the phone number(s) for service requests to enable contact with the appropriate contractor representative on a day to day basis. D. Contractor shall notify the City within 24 hours of any change to the contact phone number(s). Facilities Management will provide the contractor with a list of names authorized to request electrical service from the contractor. E. Contractor to present, if so requested, a statement of qualifications giving evidence of his experience, past performance, and financial ability to carry out the terms of the project. F. Contractor shall submit with their bid confirmation that their firm has, on staff, personnel experienced in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of commercial-type electrical equipment. G. The contractor shall meet all registration, code and licensing requirements for doing work in the City of Chesapeake. Any work permit necessary shall be obtained from the City’s Development and Permits Department at no cost to the contractor prior to commencement of work. Projects must be inspected and accepted by the City’s Development and Permits Department prior to Facilities Management Divisions final inspection. |
