Description | Rubber Roof Replacement at the Dunstable Fire Station Project Prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Law c. 149, s.26 apply to this contract. A 50% payment bond The term of this contract will be begin July 21, 2023 and will end October 21, 2023. The contractor is expected to complete the scope of work described below on or before October 21, 2023. The Town will provide a form of contract subject to modification prior to execution as deemed necessary by the Town. Summary of Project and Requirements: Remove and strip rubber and insulation board from roof. Install 4-inch face metal along the outer side edges of the roof. Install insulation board secured with 5-inch screws and plates. Glue rubber roofing over insulation board. All seams of the roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or seam tape. Install new rubber boots for ventilation pipes. Remove and pull back shingles that meet the rubber roof and install new shingles. Install flashing tape on all outer roof edges. Clean-up and removal of all materials and scraps caused by the construction. Roof must include a minimum of a 10-year warranty. The roof is approximately 42 x 36 feet All inquiries regarding this invitation shall be directed to the Town Administrator's Office in writing: Jason Silva, Email - jsilva@dunstable-ma.gov. The Town of Dunstable reserves the right to reject any or all bids when it deems to be in the best interest of the Town. A contract award will be made by the Select Board within 30 days after the bid opening. |
