The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541330 Engineering Services and the annual small business size standard is $16.5M. This project requires a full design team to complete this project. The projected award for the anticipated A-E contract is July 11, 2022. The anticipated period of performance for completion of design is 144 calendar days after Notice of Award (NOA). The FAR 52.236-22 Design Within Funding Limitation (APR 1984), for this project is $450,000 in accordance with the VAAR Magnitude of Construction. 3. SCOPE OF DESIGN The scope of work for this contract shall include but not limited to the design services for Project 675-22-703, EHRM Training and Admin Space Support at the Orlando VA Medical Center and the EHRM systems required for the Medical Center. The contract will be separated into two parts (1) A/E Part One Services (also known as Design Phase), and (2) A/E Part Two Services (also known as Construction Period Services) to include site visits, field investigation, studies and user interviews to prepare drawings, specifications and cost estimates for all facets of work and disciplines/trades to facilitate a construction project to prepare a site and provide utilities to support modular trailer installation to provide Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) training and administrative support spaces. The project shall include design services to prepare the sites for placement of the modular trailers including earthwork and pavements. A/E shall include design services to provide and install power, water, sewer, and telecommunication utilities for 13 double wide modular buildings (18x76=1368 sf) that will be located adjacent to the Fisher House on the Orlando VA campus. The project scope does not include any work inside the modular buildings and ends where the utility services connect to the modular buildings. AE shall properly size all wiring for electrical utilities. The AE is responsible for field-verifying the existing equipment capacity on the onsite power sources and at the CEP, where to tie into the main switchgear, and the length of the required run. Design for water/sewer to be fed form existing water loop at Lake Nona. Telecommunication cabling will be fed from current hospital utility infrastructure for data/phone. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. |
