Work for this project includes roofing, numerous mechanical and electrical upgrades with associated architectural and structural modifications/upgrades to improve existing systems for increased air circulation, energy efficiencies and code compliance. Bonds: In addition to a 5% of the base bid, bid bond requirement, performance bond and labor and material payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of contract amount will be required at the time of contract signing. Wage rate requirements: current prevailing wage rates as defined in state of Alaska, department of labor, laborers and mechanics minimum rates of pay (title 36) are required for this project. solicitation of bid, award of bid, bid protest of qualified bidders, and award of contract will be conducted in accordance with 4 aac 31.080. bid protest may be filed within 10 days after notice of intent to award is issued. a visit to the job site(s) is encouraged but not required for bidding the project.
