Rebecca Blaylock Child Development Center Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation will be completed to the red brick building that has a sign titled “Rebecca Blaylock Day Care Center.” The front entrance’s rotten wood will be replaced and painted. The roof will be fully replaced. All roofing and defective sheathing will be removed and disposed of. Reroofing with new shingles will then take place. The exterior windows and wood siding will be repaired and stabilized. All interior and exterior components of the windows will receive the following: misting, saturation, wet scraping, feathering, re-glazing, washing, rinsing, drying, HEPA vacuuming and finally spot priming/top coating with premium acrylic latex paint. Wood siding will be repaired by targeting any damaged windows, seals, and rotten wood. The children’s bathrooms will be completely removed and upgraded. There will be new installations of the following: door, floor system, partitions, stalls, paint, wallpaper, PVC waste, PVC vent, PEX supply, close coupled white commode, plywood vanity, vitreous China top, and single bodied lever facet. The commodes will need to be small enough for a child to easily use. The front hallway’s floor system will be disposed of with a new one installed in its place. The floors in a classroom, called the baby room, will have underlayment installed and vinyl tile flooring laid down.
