Replacement of Bolivar Road Bridge Over Chittenango Creek

The project includes removing and replacing the existing bridge carrying Bolivar Road over Chittenango Creek. The new structure will consist of a multiple adjacent prestressed concrete box beam superstructure with an asphalt wearing surface. The substructure will consist of cast-in-place concrete abutments supported on cast-in-place concrete piles. The project includes approximately 400 linear feet of full depth approach roadway reconstruction and 50 linear feet of mill and overlay to tie the new bridge into the existing roadway alignment. New bridge and approach guide railing will be installed within the project limits. Traffic will be maintained using an off-site detour during construction
