Description

The Scope work includes: Rehabilitating the existing pavement on a 4 mile section of Columbus Grove-Bluffton Road by means of resurfacing the existing pavement with Ground Tire Rubber (GTR) modified 448 asphalt concrete per Allen County specification. The resurfacing will consist of an average thickness of 1-3/8" of asphalt concrete to match the width of the existing pavement. A tack coat will be applied on the existing pavement before resurfacing. 448 Asphalt Concrete shall have minimum bitumen content of 6.2% and may contain a maximum of 10% recycled material. Aggregate to be used in hot mix shall be stockpiled, for sampling by county and testing at least two weeks before being used in hot mix. Stone stockpiles not passing Allen County Engineer's specifications as result of testing, shall be rejected for use in this contract. Also included in the project are 8 butt joints at project terminal and various intersections. This project will require flaggers.
