Description | The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, is conducting research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors for services to maintain the Government property boundary by brushing, painting, installing tree signs and carsonite posts, and removing underbrush along the projects boundary for a Base + 4 Option Periods. General project information: The Contractor will not be establishing new boundary lines or conducting any land survey activities. Work consists of brushing, painting and signing designated segments of the existing United States Government’s property boundary to maintain a highly visible boundary line at B. Everett Jordan Lake and Falls Lake, located in Wake, Granville, Orange, Durham, and Chatham counties. The repainting approximately 95 miles of previously painted trees along the boundary or easement line each contract year. This work shall be accomplished during the time-period of October 1 through March 31. Falls Dam and Visitor Assistance Center: 11405 Falls of Neuse Road, Wake Forest, NC Jordan Dam and Visitor Assistance Center: 2080 Jordan Dam Road, Moncure, NC The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and transportation required to maintain a highly visible boundary line at B. Everett Jordan Lake and Falls Lake; such as: Boundary marking paint that is labeled and approved for boundary line marking and contains no lead. Paint color shall be for the boundary type being marked and shall be approved before use. Brush cutting tools, employees personal safety equipment, lubricants, fuels, paint and bark scraping tools, paint brushes, cleaning materials, aluminum nails for mounting signs. Transportation for personnel and equipment. First aid supplies and other safety equipment. All other materials that becomes necessary for the orderly and efficient completion of the work. Government Furnished Materials: Electronic copies of Boundary Line Segment Maps Electronic copies of Boundary Line Sectional Maps Six (6) foot Carsonite sign posts, marked, “Boundary Line” Six (6) foot Carsonite sign posts, marked “Witness Post” Six (6) foot Carsonite sign posts, marked “Easement Boundary” Sign post driver 3.5” x 5.5” square U.S. Army Corps of Engineers boundary line signs, as needed. |
