Description | Project was awarded to SR Trident, Inc. in the amount of $6,368,129.21. Bids are invited for items and quantities of work as follows: The project shall consist of the installation of approximately 3640 LF of a concrete bulkhead with concrete cap, anchors, filter fabric and armor rock and approximately 2170 LF of storm drainage including pipes and catch basins with demolition, embankment, earthwork, sodding and other incidental work as required for a complete project in place. 4332DR-TX A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each id. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Seadrift or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be jointly financed with assistance from the FEMA Public Assistance Program and the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Seadrift Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Seadrift reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding, and reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
