Install New Amphitheater Shade Structure - PK-06 - City of Foster City

Leo J. Ryan Park is a "destination" park that hosts numerous special events and festivals throughout the year. One of the most popular amenities of the park is the amphitheater, which is home to summer concerts, private rentals, special events, and recreational classes. The current configuration leaves park users exposed to direct sunlight in the designated seating area during daytime use. The addition of an attractive shade structure will make the amphitheater space even more appealing by providing users with protection from the elements. This Project is included in the City of Foster City's Fy 2022 - 2023 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Per the owner, as of May 24, 2023, they do not have a timeline for when a design team will be selected. Owner states that construction is anticipated in 2025-2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
