Waterway Village Detour for Pedestrian Bridge Over the Intracoastal Waterway

Work will include the streetscape improvements to the existing roadways of State Highway 180, East 22nd Avenue, East 3rd Street, and East 24th Avenue. The proposed work will also include temporary traffic control, erosion control, drainage improvements, and landscaping. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned business and women business enterprises. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs. The Contractor will be required to obtain a business license from the City to operate within the Corporate Limits All bids in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) shall require a bid bond equal to 5% of contract amount or $10,000 whichever is lesser. Bid bonds will be returned by the Owner after the contract has been awarded. See ALDOT's 2022 Standard Specifications Article 108.11 for schedule of liquidated damages. Upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall commence the work within ten (10) days from the Date of the Notice and shall complete the work within One Hundred and Eighty (180) calendar days from the date of the Notice.
