Description | Respondents should list projected performance benefits as well as economic parameters including capital and operating costs and other benefits and concerns associated with the implementation of technology to improve water quality and/or increase dissolved oxygen in the Marco Island waterways. The city has 70 miles of canal waterways. The canals vary in width from 65 ft. to 700 ft and in depth from 6 ft. to over 20 ft. depending on tides. Many canals are dead-ends on one end but all connect to the Gulf of Mexico on the other end. Some canals are connected by bays. The proposed technology should be scalable and be able to be deployed initially as a pilot project for evaluation on larger scale deployments. The proposals should include the details of the pilot project including proposed equipment, scope, machinery (if applicable), materials, chemicals (if applicable), performance measures, permitting requirements, costs, life expectancy, and restoration upon completion.
