2023 Winter Sand

The City of Waterville is accepting bids for 5000 - 6000 +/- cubic yards of Winter Sand meeting the specifications and quality described in this document. Invoices shall be sent to the City of Waterville, Public Works Dept., 6 Wentworth Court, Waterville, Maine. It is the practice of the City to pay invoices within 30 days of receipt. The City of Waterville reserves the right to undertake quality control measures which ensures acceptability of the product. This will include random sampling and sieve analyses at any time prior to the pickup or delivery of the full quantity specified in this request for bids. If, at any time during the pickup/delivery period, a sample fails to meet the requirements outlined in the table The successful bidder will file a Certificate of Liability Insurance with the Office of the City Administrator (with copy to Department of Public Works) having limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 upon notice of award. Bid award, if the City determines to award, will be made on August 1, 2023, to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid complies with all the requirements specified contingent upon approval by the City Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids without any liability against the City.
