| Description | Structural rehabilitation of the Exit Stair Tower. The chemical removal all lead paint back to tightly adhered existing paint on all structural steel, stairs, stair landings, and handrails of the existing exit stair tower. Areas of cutting and welding for new installations will require full lead paint abatement. Removal of the tower glazing and frames, and intermediate glazing supports with the installation of new intermediate supports and woven wire mesh in angle frames. Installation of temporary barricades at openings after removal of existing glazing and frames, kept in place until the woven wire fabric infill is installed. Priming and painting of the structural steel, infill woven wire mesh, 4 x 4 vertical steel mullions, angle framing, sheet steel panels, stairs, landings, handrails, and entrance door & frame. Installation of new emergency lighting. |
