Description | Exterior and minor interior modification to the existing Hospital. a. Selective demolition of the exterior facade down to the existing metal studs. b. Selective removal and reinstallation of exterior storefronts. c. Selective demolition of exterior hollow metal doors and frames. d. Selective demolition of existing Roof Top Units and existing DDC control system. e. New exterior sheathing, EIFS, and brick veneer. f. New prefinished fascia and parapets caps to match existing to remain. g. New interior painting and floor finishes at areas of removed and reinstalled storefronts. h. New exterior hollow metal doors and frames. i. New Roof Top Units and associated work to reconnect to existing duct work, to reconnect electrical power circuits, and mounting of units atop existing curbs utilizing curb adapters. j. New DDC control system. Site Work a. Selective demolition of existing concrete walkways, curbs, and paving. b. New concrete walkways, trench drain, and paving repairs. c. Minor site grading and installation of new drainage systems to tie into existing storm water system. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: Revise sample subparagraphs below to correspond to the delivery system applicable to Project. Revise below if using construction management or design-build project delivery methods. General Contract (all trades). Retain and revise first paragraph below if prequalification of bidders is allowed and advisable for Project. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. If retaining option in paragraph below, coordinate with the Contract Documents. Liquidated damages are typically listed in the Supplementary Conditions. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. |
