No bids have been received. The complete carpet and cove base replacement at the Dougherty County Police Department located at 2106 Habersham Road, Albany, Georgia. To furnish all labor and materials for replacement of approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of flooring . flooring replacement at the Dougherty County Police Department. Animal Control Office Project is to remove old carpet and install luxury vinyl plank flooring, to install cove base, clean the stairwell remove old anti-slip tape and install new anti-slip tape. 1. Move furniture as needed to complete the project. Details will be discussed during the pre-bid meeting. 2. Remove and dispose of existing carpet and any existing cove base. A. If walls are damaged, Contractor shall repair the walls before the end of the project. 3. Prepare substrate for application of new luxury vinyl plank and cove base. 4. Install luxury vinyl plank and cove base in the specified areas. The successful bidder shall provide samples of selected manufacture LVP. Color and pattern to be selected by Dougherty County Facilities Management. Acceptable manufacturers- Mohawk, Armstrong, or Shaw. 5. Luxury Vinyl Plank shall be glued down, commercial grade with a minimum wear layer of 28 mil and a minimum thickness of .7 mm or higher. LVP is to include a protective topcoat and be rated for commercial traffic. Glue shall be applied to the subfloor or existing VCT (if level) and the tiles laid on top and clicked together to form a solid walking surface. Any unlevel surfaces shall be leveled by the CONTRACTOR before installation of LVP 6. Cove base shall be 1/8" thick rubber, pre-molded, rounded-top and cove base; 4" high, butt type with both ends stops and preformed corners. Color to be selected by Dougherty County Facilities Management and Dougherty County Health Department. Successful bidder shall provide samples. 7. This is a turnkey project and must be completed in 30 days. Holidays are not included, and the Contractor and his staff are not to be on-site during the holidays. Do not plan any work for a holiday. 8. The stairwell to the second floor is to be professionally cleaned and all tape and any other residue removed from the stairs. The Contractor is to install precut stair treads which are nonslip outdoor tape, black heavy duty anti-slip traction adhesive strips 6"x24". This tape is to be commercial grade 80 grit with PVC base layer injected. 9. Additional anti-slip tape for replacement and maintenance at a rate of 2% shall be provided at the completion of the project. 10. Additional cove base for replacement and maintenance at a rate of 2% shall be provided at the completion of the project. 11. Additional LVP for replacement and maintenance at a rate of 2% shall be provided at the completion of the project along with leveling, patching compounds and adhesives. 12. The contractor is responsible to protect other finish products in the interior of the building while performing their work. Any damages incurred shall be reported the same day to Dougherty County Facilities Management and repaired before the end of the project. 13. All trash must be disposed of at the end of each workday by the CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR shall be vacuum and/or swept daily the work area at the end of the workday to allow for locations within the Dougherty County Police Department to open safely for staff the next business day. A dumpster shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR at a site to be determined by Dougherty County Facilities Management. Dumpster shall be emptied as needed and is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to arrange for emptying. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for removal of the dumpster at the end of the project. 14. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a portable restroom facility during the duration of the project. CONTRACTOR is responsible for clean-up and emptying as needed and removal at the end of the project. The location shall be determined by Dougherty County Facilities Management.
