Description | Peabody-Walters Relief Sewer Phase 1B includes, but is not limited to, construction of approximately 1/2 mile of new 21-inch vitrified clay sewer main pipe along Huntington Drive and Peabody Road in Fairfield via open-cut trenching. The project requires a new 36-inch diameter bored and jacked steel casing under an existing railroad spur track using a special vitrified clay jacking type carrier pipe with flush no-bell stainless steel gasketed couplers. The project also includes potholing, utility coordination, dewatering, trench bedding and backfill, trench repaving (temporary and permanent patches), a sewer crossing under fuel line, monument protection, public notifications, traffic control and construction area signs, night work where required, traffic signal detector loop replacement, sewage bypass systems, sewer tie-ins at manholes, and all other work necessary to complete the WORK as indicated in the Contract Documents. |
