Description | Weatherproof exterior wall coating for the gymnasium exterior at the Rosenwald Community Center at 413 Port Republic Road, Waynesboro, Va. 22980. 1. Work will consist of supplying all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, etc. needed to complete the application of a weatherproof wall coating on the exterior walls of the gym from the ground to the facia board 2. Work shall consist of the following: A. Prep and profile existing wall cracks (via tuck point grinder) an estimated 1/2’’deep X 1/2” wide visible in CMU (concrete) wall covering. B. Apply Resimac 571 primer to profiled cracks as per attached spec. C. Apply Resimac 571 LW Concrete Repair to profiled cracks completely filling to finish smooth with existing CMU. D. Remove two (2) existing awnings including all materials attached to the building, creating a clean surface for wall coating. E. Steam pressure wash (4000 PSI) all existing CMU wall covering removing existing paint creating desired profile for superior adhesion. F. Frame in four (4) existing windows on the north end of building using current wood frame construction. G. Repair existing plywood around exhaust louvers over east side entrance using current wood frame construction. H. Repair missing/loose or damaged CMU at top of existing chimney. I. Remove existing concrete window base at eye level on east side of the building, rebuild demo concrete with 571 LW to smooth finish to match existing CMU. J. Hand dig existing dirt from the east side of the building exposing the floor level below grade to apply material. K. Apply Thortex Therma-Tech R.G. (1st coat) to profiled CMU at an estimated 10 mils as per attached spec. L. Install (while Therma-Tech is wet) reinforcement cloth embedded into Therma-Tech (allow to dry). M. Apply Therma-Tech (2nd coat) at an estimated 10 mils as per spec covering cloth completely. N. Apply Sherwin Williams A-100 Exterior Latex Satin exterior paint two (2) coats to all coated surfaces (color TBD) via sprayer with back rolled finish. 3. Parks and Recreation will be responsible for removing all existing electric, downspouts, window grates and any other items attached to exterior of the building. |
