| Description | The scope of work includes the reconstruction of historic masonry walls and arches severely damaged in Hurricane Irma. The walls will be reconstructed using the original bricks, which will be cleaned of mortar and reused. The original mortar recipe will be used. In addition, a historic arch leading to the center of the Citadel collapsed as a result of the falling tree. This arch will be reconstructed using the original arch bricks. The mortar of the masonry Citadel walls will also be repointed. |
