Description

Supply labor, equipment, materials and supplies to perform the required work as shown on the construction plans for MSB project number 21-09-2894 • Contractor is to provide resources to complete this project without any adjustments in the original bid amount or contract time. Contractor is required to obtain an ADEC APDES permit prior to utility relocation activities. Utility relocation work done by the utility companies will be performed under this permit. Contractor shall coordinate the road improvements with all utility relocation work. Request locates from the utilities having facilities in the area. Use the Alaska Digline, Inc. Locate Call Center. See Section 105-1.06 for digline number and a list of utility companies in the area. A portion of the work for this project is within the Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) Right-of-Way (ROW). Contractor shall obtain a Temporary Construction Permit (TCP) from ARRC for all construction activities or equipment operating within the ARRC ROW. Contractor is responsible for submittal and fees associated with both Part 1 and Part 2 of the ARRC TCP. Contractor shall obtain a separate permit from ARRC for any material or equipment storage within the ARRC ROW for Contractor’s convenience. Contractor shall provide a copy of all permits obtained from ARRC to MSB. MSB shall be released from liability and held harmless from any damages, costs, penalties or claims that arise related to the agreements of ARRC and the Contractor for activities within the ARRC ROW. The ARRC TCP application can be found online at .Contact Amy Smith, ARRC ROW Permit Administrator, at (907) 265-2347 with any questions about how to obtain a TCP from ARRC. ARRC flag protection is required for all work within twenty (20) feet of the tracks, any work that could potentially result in personnel, equipment, or material moving or being located within twenty (20) feet of the tracks. Flag protection must be scheduled in advance. Please coordinate flagging through the ARRC Project Manager.
