| Description | The Town of Reading will be accepting sealed bids to replace and repair existing roof on the Town of Reading Highway garage located at 3951 St. Rt. 14A, Watkins Glen, NY: The bids must contain the following proposed costs: Remove the existing shingles and roofing material, repair any structural damage to roof sheathing or structure, dispose of all trash, supply and install ice and water and synthetic felt per NYS Building Code, provide and install 1"x 4" purlins, provide and install new flashing around chimney and pipes, provide and install 29 gauge, 3ft. coverage metal rib roof galvalume coated or equal with trim, fascia, soffit, and provide new 5" gutters and downspouts. Dimensions are 135' x 45'. Prevailing wage municipal project #2022010099. Bid proposals will be accepted starting Monday, September 19, 2022 at 3914 County Road 29, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Bids must be on bid form and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Highway Garage Roof Replacement." Award will be made at the Wednesday, October 12, 2022 meeting of the Reading Town Board. The Town of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. |
