Recreation Center HVAC Upgrades

Work includes the following: Base Bid Furnish and install heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in accordance with the plans and specifiCations provided herein. Alternate Bid -Remove and replace AH-1 & ACCU-1 and replace with new AC-1-1 and ACCU 1-1 Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid Mechanical: Remove the existing Heating & ventilation unit that currently serves the gymnasium. Heating and Ventilation unit will be replaced with new outdoor air- cooled air conditioning unit that will provide heating, cooling and ventilation to the gymnasium. New heating coil will be duct mounted within the gymnasium and will be connected to the existing building hot water system. New thermostat will be provided. New AC unit ductwork will run outside the building and reconnect to the existing ductwork inside the gymnasium. The existing louver openings will be utilized to run the ductwork from the outdoor unit to connect to the existing ductwork distribution within the gymnasium. The existing split air conditioner (AC-2-1) located on the mezzanine level will be removed and replaced with new split DX air conditioner in kind. New AC unit will connect to the existing ductwork distribution. Replace the outdoor air cooled condenser in kind. Existing controls for the heating and ventilation unit that are wall mounted in the MER shall be relocated to make room for electrical service upgrade. Electrical: Upgrade of existing building electrical service from on-site utility pole to support additional building HVAC loads. Installation of new underground service feeder, service switch, and upgrade or replacement of existing utility CT cabinet and meter as required, per coordination with PSE&G. Addition of new NEMA 3R rated panel at building exterior to power additional building HVAC loads. Alternate Bid Provide add alternate pricing to replace the existing split air conditioner located on the first floor MER (AC-1-1) in kind. Replace the outdoor air cooled condenser in kind.
