Description

Request for Bids for the removal and replacement of the existing coping, roof membrane, flashing, and insulation down to the precast concrete deck; removing the existing skylights and infilling with galvanized metal roof deck; furnishing and installing a roof access ladder; and appurtenant work. All bids must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY. The recommended form of BID GUARANTY is a BID GUARANTY and CONTRACT Bond in the full amount of the bid, including all add alternates, as prescribed by Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Other acceptable forms of BID GUARANTY include a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid plus all add alternates. Bid security issued in bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. If the BID is accepted, a CONTRACT must be executed and a satisfactory Performance/Payment Bond furnished, conditioned according to law in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the CONTRACT price, within ten (10) days after notice of award. Sureties on all bonds must be satisfactory to the CITY. No BIDDER may withdraw their BID for a period of 90 days after the actual BID closing date and time. The CITY reserves the right not to award a contract and to reject any or all BIDS and to waive any informalities and irregularities. Subject to the right of the CITY not to award a contract and to reject any or all BIDS, the CITY will award a Contract to the BIDDER submitting the lowest and best BID, taking into consideration accepted alternates. Intent to Bid Due Date: May 18th 2022, 4:00 PM EDT The WORK in accordance with the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, dated April 20, 2022, and any addenda thereto, consists of the removal and replacement of the existing coping, roof membrane, flashing, and insulation down to the precast concrete deck; removing the existing skylights and infilling with galvanized metal roof deck; and appurtenant work. Once the CONTRACT is awarded, the CONTRACTOR shall have until June 30, 2023 to fully complete the PROJECT with the following constraints (1) no WORK shall be permitted between December 1, 2022 and March 30, 2023, and (2) the WORK shall be completed within sixty (60) calendars days once it commences Questions Due Date: May 12th 2022, 4:00 PM EDT
