NewStory Emergency Shelter Expansion

On behalf of NewStory Center, Inc., Naylor & Breen Builders is requesting subcontractor and vender proposals from qualified firms for the NewStory Emergency Shelter Expansion renovations project. Located in Rutland, Vermont, the project consists of the renovation of an existing three-story building into shelter space accommodating 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Two minor components at buildings nearby include building entry modifications. Renovations are to include demolition, sitework and amenities, asphalt paving, fencing, concrete, metals, carpentry, insulation, air sealing, roofing, interior and exterior finishes, doors and windows, drywall, flooring, painting, manufactured casework, appliances, specialties and accessories, mechanical/plumbing, electrical, and fire protection. Construction is anticipated to start February/March 2023. All bidders must be able to provide references upon request for similar size and type of project to demonstrate bidder is qualified to perform or provide the work being bid. Contract security in a form acceptable to the Owner and Construction Manager may be required and potential bidders shall demonstrate the ability to provide such security. The cost of such security should not be included in the bid. Plans, specifications and bid packages will be made available for review and/or purchase on Monday, January 18, 2023.
