| Description | The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, correspondence including waste manifests, supplies, staging, labor, travel (except as otherwise specified in the contract). Contractor will be working in an active railroad yard and next to active tracks. The National Park Service (NPS) will put appropriate track out of service as necessary for contractor to accomplish work. Contractor will be working in the locomotive shop area. The locomotive shop is an active functioning shop that operates year round. NPS employees and volunteers work in the locomotive shop. Interpretive tours are also given in the locomotive shop year round. Contractor shall abate all hazardous materials from the four coaches. All windows in the four coaches shall be removed to abate hazardous materials. Contractor shall remove all interior fixtures and furnishings as needed to properly abate all four coaches. Items being removed need to be done in a manner to prevent any damage to the item/ part. Items need inventoried and cataloged, then securely stored in coach. Contractor shall supply and install a protective covering on each of the four coaches. Contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal off site of all hazardous materials, general waste and construction debris. Waste manifests must be submitted to the park. | ||
