Description | As of February 03, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2022. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2022. The estimated project budget is in the range of $1,300,000.00 - $1,400,000.00. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of El Paso as obligee and duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price (including base bid(s), option(s) and alternate(s). All bid bond forms must contain original signature(s) The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond as required by law, and the terms of this contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and, to the extent permitted by law, to waive informalities or irregularities that are not material, such as failure to submit sufficient offer copies, literature or similar attachments or business affiliation information.All bids are to be prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of the Information for Bidders, and the City reserves the right to consider any bid, therefore, subject to rejection as being nonresponsive to the bid request.The Owner may, in its sole discretion, determine that any non-material defect in the bid is harmless if such defect relates to an element that is not material, mandatory or essential to the responsiveness of the bid, and the Owner may accept the bid in spite of the existence of a harmless non-material defect.Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered.No Bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof BUILDING ADDITION OF APPROXIMATELY 3,672 SQ.FT. AND INTERIOR RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING RECREATION CENTER SENIOR CENTER BY THE CITY OF EL PASO Base Bid: - Selective Demolition of existing building. - Expansion of existing gymnasium to hold basketball, volleyball and pickle ball courts. - Demolish existing roofing system over existing gymnasium and replace with new. - New sidewalks and landscape/irrigation improvements. - Install a new fire protection system in select areas of the building. - Expand existing Fire Alarm and Smoke Detection Systems. - Provide IT and CCTV infrastructure only. Additive Alternative I: - Replace existing double doors at the north and south end of the main corridor with new Additive Alternative II: - Provide security desk with power and data as per plans. - Convert existing classroom to game room (Demolition and Improvements) - Remodel main corridor including floor, walls, ceiling and lighting as per plans (Demolitions and Improvements) Additive Alternative III: - Provide new and independent water meter and backflow preventer for facility Additive Alternative IV: - Provide two (2) additional pickle back courts, one (1) volleyball court and two (2) basketball backstops along north wall. Deductive Alternative V: - Provide resilient athletic flooring at gymnasium Additive Alternative VI: - Provide acoustical wall panels at gymnasium Prior to commencement of any work, the Contractor shall submit and obtain approval from City of El Paso, Capital Improvement Department, for the Sequence of Construction, Schedule of Work, and Haul/Waste Route to an approved disposal site. Traffic Control Plan must be submitted and approved, if applicable. Contractor shall provide written approved documentation from the owner or operator of the waste site. Contractor shall refer to the project plans and specifications for further information. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
