Description

The project includes the following work: The project consists of upgrading the existing WWTF from an RBC process to activated sludge. Major construction includes converting the RBC tanks into aeration tanks. A pump room to house the pumps to supply wastewater to the aeration basin and return sludge pumps will be constructed adjacent to the aeration basin. A new final clarifier will be constructed. The existing final clarifier will have the walls raised from elevation 1242 to elevation 1251. The septage dumping location will be relocated. The idle anaerobic digestor will have aeration diffusers added and it will be used as a temporary aerobic digestor while repairs are made to the current aerobic digestor. The control building will have minor modifications. The existing plant will remain in service during construction. Full sets of specifications and plans will be provided at the time the check is received at the issuing office. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon issuing office's receipt of payment, bidding documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. American Iron and Steel: Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete and construction materials. The following waivers apply to this contract: De Minimis, Minor Components: Pig iron and direct reduced iron.
