Description | The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or must successfully complete, a building prequalification or project-specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 1716303 WIN: 017163.03 Location: In Hancock County, project is located along State Route 3 in Trenton. Outline of Work: Intermodal facility and welcome center for the Mount Desert Island region of Maine. For Project-specific information, fax all questions to Project Manager at (207) 624-3431 using the electronic RFI form, or email questions to RFJ-Contracts MDOT@maine.gov, with the project name and identification number in the subject line. Questions received after 12:00 noon of the Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) before the bid date will not be answered, Bidders shall not contact any other MaineDOT staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the | MaineDOT will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made on blank forms provided by MaineDOT and must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order for 5% of the bid amount, payable to "Treasurer, State of Maine" as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100% of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. MaineDOT hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Acadia Gateway Center Phase 2 MaineDOT accepts electronic bids for bid packages posted on thewebsite. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. MaineDOT will accept a facsimile of the bid bond, but the original bid bond must be received at the MaineDOT Contracts Section within 72 hours of the bid opening.
