Juniper Street Improvements, Douglas Pedestrian Improvements, and 7th Street Pedestrian Improvements

Bidder may contact the Assistant City Engineer at 503.598.2510 to inquire about the computer clocks exact timing. No hard copies or faxed quotes will be considered. Bids will be publicly opened using online meeting software. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Schedule 1: Juniper SCA. Remove asphalt along Juniper Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets. Construct new 22' width roadway along Juniper Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets. Widen 7th Street between Ivy Avenue and Juniper Avenue to 22' width. Remove existing asphalt pavement at the intersection of Ivy Avenue and 8th Street for emergency vehicle access only. Schedule 2: Juniper Street Storm Sewer Improvements. Add 2 new area drains and storm sewer in existing ditch, fill in ditch and connection of existing storm pipes. Schedule 3: Douglas Pedestrian Improvements. Install approximately 2,000 SF of asphalt concrete from 3rd Street to 2nd Street along the south side of Douglas Avenue. Install 6'-7' wide concrete sidewalk from 1st Street to 3rd Street along the south side of Douglas Avenue with extruded curb and curb and gutter. Install new crosswalks and signage for schools at the intersection of 2nd Street and Douglas Avenue and the intersection of Black Walnut Street and Douglas Avenue. Schedule 4: 7th Street Pedestrian Improvements. Install new concrete sidewalk at the top back of existing curb along the west side of 7th Street from Ivy Avenue to the existing sidewalk along the south side of Hemlock Avenue and from Grove Avenue to the existing sidewalk North of the school. Additional work includes widening the existing asphalt concrete pavement of Grove Avenue on both north and south sides and adding curb, gutter and sidewalk along the south side between 6th Street and 7th Street. The provisions of ORS 279C.840 shall be included in the contract. Bidders attention is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract. Bidders shall be qualified in accordance with applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to submit a Bid for Public Work in Oregon. The City of Gervais reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and of postponing of award of the contract for forty days. No Bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered by the public contracting agency unless the Bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 471.530.
