Fire Alarm Inspections and Testing for Schools

The annual fire alarm system inspection and testing shall include the inspection and testing of all fire alarm system control equipment, sensitivity testing for all area and duct mounted smoke detectors, functional testing of area and duct mounted smoke detectors, functional testing of thermal detectors, manual pull stations, notification appliances, fire sprinkler system control valve tamper switches, fire sprinkler water flow switches and micro switches Sensitivity testing on the area and duct mounted smoke detectors is required every 5 years beginning in the third year of this contract.
