Description | 15th Street Ornamental Security Fencing and Gates Bid guarantee in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany any bid submitted. The 5% bid guarantee may be in the form a bid bond secured and issued by a surety or guaranty company authorized to do business in the State of Wyoming or a cashier's check made payable to the City of Cheyenne. The successful bidder shall furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid. A surety bond is required for contracts over $150,000.00. Provisions of Wyoming Statute 15-1-113 are, by reference, made an express part of the contract documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in the bidding. Questions will be received until 5:00 pm local time on Monday, October 17, 2022, after which no additional questions will be accepted. This project will be to install four (4) gates and approximately 2100 feet of ornamental fencing on 15th Street where a current Chain Link Fence exists between Union Pacific Land and City Land. The Northeastern portion of the fencing by the Depot near Accomplice Brewing, is an ornamental style fence.Included with this scope of work are aerial imagery showing the approximate project area, as well as the proposed location for the four (4) gates. The extent of the fencing begins at the Northeast Corner of the Depot and extends to the Southeast until it reaches the corner. The fencing shall continue to the Southwest behind the Depot, generally following the existing fence line/layout until it reaches the Southwestern corner point. At that point the new fence line shall continue to the Southwest until it reaches the end of 15th Street and Bent, and shall terminate at that point. The short section of fence that heads to the Northwest at O'Neil Avenue shall be removed, and not replaced. contractor shall provide and install approximately 2100 feet of eight-foot-tall ornamental iron fence with security curve top along the property line bordering the Union Pacific and City property. All existing chain-link, ornamental fencing, and all other debris related to demolition, to be removed and disposed of by the contractor. . Fence shall be installed so that the security fence curves inward towards the Depot15th Street/away from Union Pacific property. Install four (4) gates. Gates should be easy to open by hand without mechanical/electrical operators. Gate #1: 48" Swing gate Gate #2: 48" Swing Gate Gate #3: 10' Drive Gate Gate #4: 48" Swing Gate All fence panels, gates, brackets and components required for installation shall be provided as complete unit by a single source/manufacturer. Contractor must have all underground utilities marked before construction of the fence can begin. Provide and implement any necessary traffic plans. Apply and provide any necessary city permits for construction of fence and gates. Contractor to ensure entire fence perimeter is closed at the end of each work day,nto ensure the public cannot access Union Pacific property. |
