Description

The Scope of Work, in general, includes the construction of a replacement wastewater pumping station consisting of a new wet well, valve vault, emergency storage, yard piping and the relocation of influent force mains. The new station will be constructed adjacent to the existing station which will remain in service during construction of the new pumping station The project scope also includes sewer system testing, pavement patching, cast-in-place concrete work, final seeding and stabilization of disturbed areas, final site cleanup and other items as described in the construction drawings and specifications. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference as this is a re-bid of the project. Bid security shall be furnished as stipulated in the project Specifications, Information for Bidders. Funding sources for the project will include local funding and the State of Maryland Water Quality Revolving Loan Fund (SRF). Prevailing federal wage rates under the Davis-Bacon Act and the use of American iron and steel apply to this project. Contractors must also demonstrate good faith efforts to comply with the Maryland Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE). Information regarding the SRF and associated requirements is included in the bid documents. The County Council of Talbot County, Maryland reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid, alternate, or any portions thereof when, in their judgment, the public will be better served.
