Preliminary Design Services for New Water Treatment Facility

Burlington Township owns and operates a water supply, treatment and distribution system to provide the citizens of the Township and other users with potable water treatment. The water facilities consist of three (3) groundwater treatment plants and a distribution system which includes two (2) elevated storage tanks with combined storage of 3-million gallons. As one component of the water system, the Township has operated the water treatment plant located on Oxmead Road, Burlington Township, New Jersey since the early 1970’s (the ‘Oxmead Road Water Treatment Plant’). The Township has identified the need to undertake significant capital improvements to replace the existing Oxmead Road Water Treatment Plant with a new water treatment plant. It is anticipated that a new plant will be constructed adjacent to the existing plant, which will continue to provide service until such a time that the new plan can be placed into service.
