Description

Scope: Contractor must inspect the roof thoroughly, locate and repair all roof deficiencies. Contractor shall remove all trash and debris noticed on the roof. All repairs must be done per Firestone TPO membrane roof repair recommendations following Firestone’s technical details for the specified TPO roof materials. Repairs to be completed, but not limited to the following, shall include the following: Failed open roof membrane welds, Open roof membrane corners, Exposed scrim, Membrane punctures, rips, tears, Membrane open corners, Improper roof membrane welds, Open flashings at pitch pans, Failed/separated edge details at expansion joints, Membrane lap deficiencies- fish mouths, Failed/delaminated membrane at drip edge metal (elevators). Replace approximately thirty (30) feet old metal drip edge at both elevators with metal that can receive TPO membrane. Open/Delaminated flashing membrane at through wall drains (metal strainers and their metal bases must be removed first to do this). Remove/replace the footpads at the ladder and bridge with TPO membrane compatible pads. Heat weld them in place to the existing roof membrane. There are approximately forty-eight (48) locations with membrane lap seam deficiencies, fish mouths, bullet hole punctures and six (6) different through wall roof drain locations where the water is leaking at the lower base of the metal strainer.
