UPS and Inverter Maintenance Services

In order to maintain the condition and availability of service from the UPS systems, the University requires Annual (major) Preventive Maintenance services be performed on each UPS. In case of UPS failure or UPS will be down longer than 24 hours, the successful Supplier/Bidder/Contractor must provide, connect and maintain a temporary UPS with equivalent or greater output than KSU's failed UPS until the failed UPS is repaired or replaced. KSU will reimburse contractor for rental of temporary UPS. Other services include but are not limited to battery inspections, diagnostic and repair services, as well as corrective maintenance services. Suppliers must have at least three consecutive years of performing Preventive Maintenance, diagnostic and repair experience for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems manufactured by Liebert, Mitsubishi, Powerware; Chloride Power Lighting Inverter and TNB Lightalarm Lighting Inverter; including Powerware Power Distribution Unit. Suppliers are expected to be flexible when KSU is scheduling preventative maintenance. Visits may be required during normal business hours, after hours, weekends or on holidays. A written report of findings must be provided for each visit.
