Description

MZ3 Replacement Project at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) has issued this Invitation to Bid (ITB) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining sealed bids (Bid) from qualified contractors (Contractor) to perform a complete replacement of an existing roof-mounted, multi-zone mechanical unit, or the MZ3 Replacement (Project) at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. It is the intent of the RTAA to select a qualified Contractor licensed to work in the State of Nevada to perform demolition of an existing roof mounted multi-zone mechanical unit, procurement and installation of two (2) new interior located fan coil units, installation of associated new ductwork and utility connections, installation of new grid ceiling, lighting, and diffusers, and to provide all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, transportation services, permits and fees, utilities required, and all incidental items necessary to provide the scope of work entitled "MZ3 Replacement Project" per the specifications, drawings, and plans provided herein as Attachment D, Special Conditions, E, Technical Specifications and Attachment F, Plan Drawings subject to all terms and conditions contained in this ITB. Funding for this Project has been approved. The Engineer's estimate for the project is $240,000 and will be funded through the RTAA's general fund, and not through federal grants. The purpose of the pre-Bid meeting is to allow an open forum for discussion with RTAA staff regarding the ITB with all prospective Contractors having an equal opportunity to hear and participate. Oral questions will receive oral responses - neither of which will be official nor become part of the ITB. 11/2/2022 05:00:00 PM (PT) Written Questions Due Interested parties must direct all communications regarding this ITB to the RTAA's Purchasing and Materials Management Division or post the questions to NGEM directly. Purchasing Manager: Holly Luna, hluna@renoairport.com It is the responsibility of all Contractors to monitor NGEM for any changing information prior to submitting a Bid. The RTAA will not be responsible for the timeliness or completeness of information provided by any third party bid listing or re-selling service. Communications from prospective Contractors (including the entity's employees, representatives, agents, lobbyists, attorneys, and sub-consultants), such as in person, by telephone, voicemail, electronic mail, facsimile, or any other means, to any Board of Trustee, officer, employee, or agent of the RTAA, other than the authorized representative identified above, are strictly prohibited. Except for inquiries directed through the authorized representative identified above, the RTAA, through its Board, officers, and employees, will neither meet nor otherwise communicate individually with prospective Contractors. The RTAA may, at its sole discretion, disqualify any Contractor who fails to observe this requirement. Bidders are required to submit one (1) ORIGINAL copy of their Bid and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive. The Bidder should ensure that the thumb drive is not corrupted, or password protected, and contains the entire ITB response. All documents required to be submitted shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope or package marked "MZ3 Replacement Project" followed by the name and address of the Bidder and the due date and time for receiving ITB responses. Mailed Bids shall be enclosed within another envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face of the outside envelope. No Bid, whether mailed or hand delivered, shall be considered if it has not been received at the RTAA Purchasing and Materials Management Division, 2770 Vassar Street, Reno, NV, on or before the Bid submittal deadline. Postmarks do not qualify as delivery. The clock at Purchasing Office is the RTAA's official clock; timeliness of Bids will be determined using only this clock. Contractors assume full responsibility for timely delivery of its Bid at the specified location. Contractors assume the risk for the method of delivery chosen. The RTAA assumes no responsibility for delays caused by any delivery service. Oral, telephonic, faxed, or emailed Bids are invalid and will not receive consideration.
