Higbee Beach Restoration Project

As of August 22, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Contractors who are pre-qualified with the NJDEP, Division of Resilience Engineering & Construction can obtain bid documents from the NJDEP's Toms River address at the address listed above. Bidders must be pre-qualified with this Office under N.J.S.A. 52:35 et seq. under the "Special Miscellaneous Work" category prior to submitting a bid and are required to comply with the Affirmative Action provision as outlined in N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. At time of bid, bidders or their designated subcontractor must be classified with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management & Construction (DPM&C) under "C-119 Site Remediation" for bid eligibility. Review and approval of new pre-qualification packages by the NJDEP's Office of Coastal Engineering (Office) typically takes 10-12 calendar days, depending upon applicant's responsiveness. Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered under the "Public Works Contractor Registration Act", N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. (P.L. 2003, c. 91) at time of bid. Appropriate proof of this registration should be provided to NJDEP prior to award of contract. Minimum wage rates for this project shall be as specified in the "Prevailing Wage Determination of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development" on file with NJDEP. The entire work is to be completed with the CONTRACT TIME STATED WITHIN THE BID DOCUMENTS. The Department of Environmental Protection reserves the right to waive any minor informality in a bid or to reject any or all bids pursuant to law.
