Description

Project Locations: Oldham County High School: 1150 KY-393 La Grange, KY 40031, North Oldham High School: 1815 S Highway 1793 Goshen, KY 40026 Project Description: Work is divided between Bid Pack C.1, Oldham County High School (OCHS) and Bid Pack C.2, North Oldham High School (NOHS). The work at both schools includes the installation of new artificial turf fields. Each field will include earthwork, subdrainage, and new athletic equipment. The work at NOHS will also include the reconstruction of existing jumps located within the field area. The overall project will be bid as packages for each school and as a combined bid package. The information included on the drawings and within the project manual specifications will be the same for all bid packages unless otherwise indicated Sealed proposals for the following work will be received by the Oldham County Board of Education in the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the construction of Oldham County Athletic Improvements - Bid Package C, for three bid packages listed below, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings prepared by RossTarrant Architects, Inc., 101 Old Lafayette Avenue, Lexington, Kentucky 40502. Bid Package C.1 - Oldham County High School Bid Package C.2 - North Oldham High School Bid Package C.3 - Combined C.1 and C.2 Special Note: It is the Owners intent to award either two separate contracts for Bid Package C.1 and C.2, or to award one contract for Bid Package C.3, which combines work at both high schools. Contract(s) shall be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best lump sum bid. Oldham County Schools appreciates your time and effort in preparing a bid and provides equal opportunities to all of its Bidders with respect to the bidding and award of Construction Contracts. Oldham County Schools require that the Bidder submit, with each bid, the following information. Each Bid shall be submitted on the Form of Proposal obtained from the Project Manual. 1. Proposal Form - properly signed, with completed listing of all subcontractors at time of submittal. 2. Bid Guaranty - properly signed, witnessed and executed. 3. Bidders shall refer to the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders for post-bid submittal information. Special Note: Separate bid package bids shall be submitted in separate envelopes. The Project Manual contains a different Form of Proposal for each bid package. Each Form of Proposal shall be completed per the instructions on the form, and submitted prior to the time of the Bid. Corrections to information on the Bid must be initialed in order to be valid. A Form of Proposal incorrectly or insufficiently completed will not be considered. The Form of Proposal shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with project name and bid package listed on the outside. Separate bid package bids shall be submitted in separate envelopes. A bid may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of (45) days after the designated time for receipt of Bids. Addenda: The last date for the Architect to receive items to be addressed in any addenda is December 10, 2023 by 12:00 p.m. EST. All requests must be submitted to the Architect in writing. Right to Reject and Waiver: The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner or to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. General Information: State Wage Rates are not applicable. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.455 are absolutely prohibited. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.90 to 45A.94. The successful bidder must supply a 100% Performance and Payment Bond as outlined in the Project Manual.
