Rebuild Tainter Gate Worm Gearbox

These specifications cover all work required to pick up, clean, inspect, rehabilitate, test, and deliver one (1) worm gearbox to Meldahl Locks and Dam. The gearbox is a Philadelphia Gear 675 ATFC Worm gearbox with serial number 48617. Gear ration is 9.75:1. The gearbox shall be rebuilt in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations to for the items listed below. All work shall conform to all applicable standards including AGMA 6001-E08 and AGMA 6013-A06. The original manufacturer's specifications shall be followed and documented for the required settings of bearing laterals, gear backlash, gear tooth mesh and profiles, housing fits, critical dimensions, torque values, and proper operational parameters. The Contractor shall be responsible for transportation of the gearbox to and from their facility.
