Description | The building will be occupied during the length of this contract. Mechanical scope of work includes installation of Energy Recovery Ventilating unit to provide the minimum code required ventilation air to the general library, office, and restroom spaces on the first floor. The energy recover ventilator will be vented sidewall via new louvers for both intake and exhaust, utilizing existing window openings within the basement. The energy recovery ventilator will be provided with a duct mounted electric reheat coil, and a duct mounted split DX coil to fully temper the air. The duct mounted split DX coil system will be sized for nominal 3-tons. All new ductwork and registers are to be provided, sized, and installed as indicated in the contract documents to complete the installation. Provide and install all necessary controls and interlocks for the system to operate as indicated in the contract documents. All mobilization shall be expedited with as much speed before starting work on the site so that the amount of construction time is minimized. An addendum will be issued to notify all bidders of the questions and answers. MBE/WBE Information : 1. No less than TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT (25%) of the total employee worker hours shall be performed by BONA FIDE CAMBRIDGE RESIDENTS. A Cambridge resident is any person for whom the principal place where that person normally eats and sleeps and maintains his or her normal personal and household effects is within the City of Cambridge. 2. No less than TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT (25%) of the total employee worker hours shall be performed by MINORITY PERSONS. Minority persons mean and include those persons who are Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, or Cape Verdean. 3. No less than TEN PERCENT (10%) of the total employee worker hours shall be performed by WOMEN. |
