Pines Road Over Cummings Creek Bridge and Guide Rail Replacement

Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 - Pines Road over Cummings Creek Bridge and Guide Rail Replacement This project involves the removal of the existing approach guide rail and bridge rail for Pines Road over Cummings Creek, BIN 2205500, and replacement with double box beam bridge rail, transition rail, and end assemblies. The new rail will be through-bolted to the existing concrete deck and anchored to the existing concrete wingwalls. The date that the Contract Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Contract Documents. Partial sets of the Contract Documents will not be available. Addenda will be made available via notification to all registered Plan Holders. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all Addenda by signing and dating each Addendum on page 00370-1 of the Bid Form. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such Addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such Bidder from any obligation under this Bid submittal. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than portal. Cash deposits will not be accepted. All handling costs (mail, delivery services, etc.) Shall be the responsibility of the bidder. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the issuing office must notify the issuing office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holder List, to receive Addenda and any other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders List will not be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
