Ogdensburg Water Intake Pipe Cleaning and Clearing

The City of Ogdensburg hereby gives notice that bids for the following project: City of Ogdensburg - Water Intake Pipe Cleaning & Clearing, Monroe Avenue, Ogdensburg, NY 13669 The work to be performed or executed under these specifications consists of materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the contract documents to complete the work listed with this request and generally described as follows: The project generally is the cleaning and clearing of a 36" diameter water intake pipe covering the span from the grate in the St. Lawrence River to the pump station. The pipe is approximately 520 feet in length with the inflow located approximately 25 feet below the water surface. The project will require work be performed underwater. All questions regarding this Request for Bids should be directed to the City of Ogdensburg Department of Public Works Director, Shane Brown at 315-393-2010 or via email at sbrown@ogdensburg.org. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and posted electronically with the bid documents. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the opening of Bids may not be answered. The City reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids if, in its opinion, the best interest of the City will thereby be promoted and to waive any informalities or defects in such bids before or after opening. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the date of the opening of bids. The City of Ogdensburg encourages Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses to bid and/or subcontract in this project.
