Description | **As of August 19, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work of this single bid project includes performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of SUCF Project No 061016-01 titled Sturges Hall - Abatement & Window Replacement and carrying out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work includes removing existing window, frame, trim and hardware as noted on the drawings to install new premium aluminum clad wood windows to match existing window divisions and profiles. Removal of existing elevator and installation of new aluminum framed skylight. Abatement work as demolition to Remove existing plaster from masonry backup. Replace existing clay speed tile with new as required after plaster removal. Removal of existing walls and ceilings as noted on the drawings. Patch and repair existing wall and adjacent finishes to remain to match existing. Patch and repair floor substrate to receive new floor in future project. Removal of all existing drop ceilings. Removal of existing floor finish as noted on the drawings. Patch and repair floor substrate to receive new floor in future project. Remove existing interior door, frame, trim, and hardware as noted on the drawings. Carefully remove existing historic wood clocks and turn over to the college for storage. Removal and replacement of existing roof drains and leaders. Install new metal flashing coating system at gutter. Removal and replacement of Main Stair Tower EPDM roof. Repair existing concrete areaways and remove and replace metal grates. Clean existing exterior limestone and granite. Patch incidental areas of loose material at all elevations. Repoint existing exterior brick. Replace damaged exterior brick with replacement brick of similar color and size. Repoint existing exterior limestone and granite. Removal of existing mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems as noted on the drawings and provide temporary heating, lighting and fire alarm to be left in place at completion of project.
