Description | All bids shall be submitted in accordance with General Provision Section 2 and accompanied by the documentation referenced therein, at a minimum. The public may view bid meetings in person in the Grand Oak Conference room in Town Hall located at 13400 Griffin Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330. Bids requested shall be set forth in the Bid and the Bid Form attached to and forming a part of the Specifications. Prior to execution of a contract, Bidder shall submit to Town a copy of its non-discrimination policy, which shall be consistent with the non-discrimination requirements of the contract. In the event that Bidder does not have a written non-discrimination policy, Bidder shall be required to sign a statement affirming their non-discrimination policy conforms with Section 2.31, of the Invitation for Bids. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. 2.28.1 Bid Security. Simultaneous with the delivery of an executed Bid to the Town, Bidders shall furnish a Bid Security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total gross amount of the bid. The Bid Security shall be issued in the form of a bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in the State of Florida, having an agent in the State of Florida, or in the form of Money Order or Cashier's Check payable to the Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida and drawn on a Florida Bank, or in the form of an irrevocable letter of credit. Bonds shall be submitted on the forms provided herein by the Town. Failure to supply Bid Security with the Bid at the time of Bid opening shall automatically disqualify the Bidder as non-responsive. Performance and Payment Bonds. Within ten (10) days after being notified of the award, Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond containing all the provisions of the Performance Bond and Payment Bond. Each Bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price guaranteeing to Town the completion and performance of the Work covered in such Contract as well as full payment of all suppliers, laborers, and Subcontractors employed pursuant to this Project. Each Bond shall be with a surety company that is qualified pursuant to Section 2.28.5. Each Bond must name "Broward County" as an additional obligee. |
