City of Atlanta Street Improvements

The proposed project consists of a 2" bituminous surface overlay applied on the streets of Babcock from Williamson to Atterberry, Main from Williamson to Atterberry, Williamson from Babcock to Marion, and Atterberry from Babcock to Main. In order for the remaining roadway and the overlay to seamlessly come together, a tack coat will be sprayed across the full width of the existing surface before the bituminous pavement mixture is applied. A full depth asphalt replacement will occur on Marion from Williamson to Atterberry. The ditches along all streets included in this phase of the project will be graded and seeded to ensure proper drainage along the resurfaced streets. The project also includes an Add Alternate that includes full depth asphalt replacement on Babcock from Williamson to Atterberry in lieu of the 2" bituminous overlay on this portion.
